Children's Sunday school
Sunday school is a fun and nurturing environment for toddlers aged 3 years to youth attending Year 6. Sunday School's aim is to teach children about God’s love for us, that He sent Jesus to die for us, and what our response should be. The Sunday School has a strategic role, together with parents to build a spiritual foundation for our children. All Sunday School classes are conducted in English.

About Children's Sunday School

Sunday School at CPC is one of the well-established and highly regarded Christian Education programs. Classes start from 2 years old (Activity Group - where parents are expected to attend with their child, until the child is comfortable to be left alone) through to year 6 of primary school. Some Services have a children’s talk based on the theme or bible passage that the sermon will use. We are fortunate to have a pool of talented people to present a ‘children’s talk’ each week. Some children attend both Sunday Schools, as their parents are in bible study at the alternate service time, so we ensure they are not learning the same lesson in both Sunday Schools. Other activities during the year include the church fete, where Sunday School has a stall selling fresh fruit juice, and visits to the Gertrude Abbott nursing home across the road at Easter and Christmas. The CPC Sunday School follows all the policies and protocols for ‘Working with Children’; as prescribed by the Presbyterian Church.
