Our groups

Sunday School at CPC is one of the well-established and highly regarded Christian Education programs. It teaches children how to know and love God. From toddlers aged 3 years to youth attending Year 6. The Sunday School has a strategic role, together with parents to build a spiritual foundation for our children. CPC Youth Alive (CYA) is a group for High Schoolers which aim to teach the bible in a life-relevant way. During school term only. We socialise, play games, sing, study the bible and discuss life in a friendly environment. We encourage kids to discover the bible for themselves, ask questions and be challenged by different opinions. During the year we participate in various socials and events such as KYCK (Katoomba Youth Convention) where our youth get to benefit from spending time away with each other, furthering their understanding and practicing their faith.

CYA PLUS time for High Schoolers to relax on the 1 st , 3 rd and 5 th Fridays of the month during school term only. Friday night with friends to further socialise and study the bible and discuss life in a relaxed environment.

Ignite is a fellowship group for University/TAFE aged students. At Ignite, we share life together and we do so by studying God’s word, praying and having fellowship together. Joining a small group will allow you to connect and grow together as followers of Christ.

Living Word bible studies for young families and adults. Examining and applying the bible to your everyday life. Giving and receiving encouragement within the group. The group follows the English Service sermon series, exploring and discussing the messages. Our Ministers publish Bible study questions that complement their sermons. It helps us better remember the passage and we can encourage each other to live out what we have heard and learnt.

Adult Seminar for all to meet together to discuss the sermon passage, bible studies, issues relevant to our daily life and the struggles that we all go through. We help each other through fellowship, mutual encouragement, sharing and praying. On occasion, guest speakers are invited to extend or develop an area of discussion.

Afternoon Bible Studies for all ages. These afternoon Bible follow the sermon series of the 4pm English service. All are welcome to attend.

Welcoming & Christianity Explained Understanding what Christianity is all about. What is the good news, who is Jesus and why did he come as explained through the Gospel of Mark from the New Testament. Gives a basis to build your faith. Contact: Welcoming team email englishservicewelcoming@cpc.org.au
